Album overview:
For her third musical release, Hilary Duff released a "best of" collection titled "Most Wanted", the album included favourites from her previous albums, three new tracks (four on special editions), and remixes of her previous hits. The album was led by the single "Wake Up" which was produced by Hil's boyfriend Joel Madden's production group The Dead Executives. The track saw a drastic change in musical direction from the tracks on Hilary's previous album "Hilary Duff". The track would lead "Most Wanted" to debut at #1 in the USA and Canada. "Wake Up" also scored Hilary her biggest UK hit to date in the fall of 2005, peaking at #7. The track also peaked at #15 in Australia, where "Most Wanted" debuted and peaked at #3. Hilary quickly followed up the success of "Wake Up" with a second single from the album. "Beat Of My Heart" was another dance/pop song that Hil recorded with The Dead Executives. The video premiered on AOL in November of 2005, and was later performed by Hilary at the 2005 American Music Awards on November 22nd. The track was released on December 12th in Australia, backed with the DJ Kaya Trance mix of "Wake Up" which had become a radio hit in Australia. "Beat Of My Heart" then went on to out-do "Wake Up"'s success in Australia by peaking at #13 on the ARIA charts.
