Album overview:
Hilary's sophomore musical release hit the stores on her 17th birthday, September 28th 2004. The first release from the album was the track "Fly", the track received dissapointing airplay and had a lackluster video. The album, which featured 17 tracks, saw Hil move into a more rock direction. As many fans will know, the album was originally going to be called "The Girl Can Rock", whether or not Hil's song of the same name would have been included on the album is unknown (the track was previously available on multiple version of "Metamorphosis" and the "A Cinderella Story" soundtrack). Some Asian version's of the album featured her hit duet with Haylie Duff "Our Lips Are Sealed", why the track was not featured on all editions is still a mystery though. After the album was released, sales fell quickly. Hollywood records decided to release the album track "The Getaway" as the next single from the album. The plans were soon postponed until early 2005, by which time sales had fallen so dramatically Hollywood Records decided to leave the album and move onto the next project. A second single would go on to be released in Australia however. The track "Someone's Watching Over Me" was released to promote Hilary's film "Raise Your Voice", and was backed with Hilary's cover version of The Who's track "My Generation". The album sadly never received a UK release, although 'Our Lips Are Sealed" was scheduled for a UK release in the fall of 2004 but was eventually cancelled.
